Screen for the coordinated fraud rings pairwise models miss
Hidden-correlation detection in payment networks: 72% of the correlated exposure in a 14-entity ring is invisible to a pairwise risk model. A method result; no detection gain is claimed.
Impact
See where your pairwise model is blind
Baseline: a pairwise correlation model of the same ring
Condition: 72% of the correlated exposure invisible to the pairwise model, measured on a 14-qubit model of the ring
The problem
Fraud rings act together. Most transaction-risk models score accounts and pairs of accounts, which adds up individual signals and can miss behaviour that only appears when a group moves at once.
Our approach
We model the 14 entities and the links between them as a 14-qubit model whose joint behaviour is measured directly, on quantum hardware and in simulation, and compare that with a pairwise correlation model of the same ring.
The evidence
- 72% of the correlated exposure invisible to the pairwise model, measured on a 14-qubit model of the ring and checked against exact references.
- Not claimed: a fraud-detection gain. This is a method result; a detection pilot on your data is the next step.
Status: Quantum hardware + Simulation. Method measured on quantum hardware and in simulation. No detection gain claimed.
